Mountain View Middle School is excited to offer competitive athletics to our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students. We are members of the West Sound Olympic Middle School League and West Central District 3.

Athletics: 

  • All students can participate in sports. The only restriction is that 6th graders are not allowed to play football.

  • Some sports are ‘cut’ sports where students will need to try-out and make the team.  Other sports are ‘no-cut’ sports where all students are allowed to participate. 

  • To be eligible for sports, students may only have one F (failing grade).  Students will complete weekly grade-checks during the season. 

  • To participate in sports, students must purchase an ASB card (available in the main office).

Please visit FinalForms to complete the online registration. Registration must be done every year. 

Student athletes enrolled in private/charter schools outside of the Bremerton School District must also be registered in Skyward:  Per section 18.6.0 of the WIAA handbook, any student participating in athletics must be registered with the Bremerton School District to be considered eligible to compete in interscholastic activities. A student may be registered for athletics only if the private or charter school in which they are receiving academic services does not offer the desired sport. The student athlete will be registered in Skyward for athletics only - not for academics. Students must be registered in Skyward to be included in sports groups in ParentSquare. Have a current sports physical:

The medical eligibility form in the physical examination packet ​​​​​must be completed by a doctor or physician's assistant and cleared for full participation every 24 months. Most physicians require students to bring the form to the appointment. Once complete, please upload to FinalForms.

Have an ASB Card:

In order to participate in the athletics program, students are required to purchase an ASB card for $25. This is a one-time fee. These cards can be purchased online through your Family Access account in Skyward or in the main office before school or during lunches.

ASB Card & School Fee Discounts for Eligible Families

Families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals—or who receive Basic Food, TANF, or FDPIR—may be eligible for a free ASB card and reduced fees for field trips and other school activities.

How to Submit: download and complete the Consent to Share form then choose one of the following options:

  • Email: Send to cns@bremertonschools.org

  • In Person: Turn it in to your child's school front office

Student Accident Insurance (Optional):

The Bremerton School District does not provide medical insurance coverage for students who may be injured while playing on school grounds or as a result of participation on athletic teams. Parents are responsible for any medical expenses if their child gets hurt during the school day or while participating in school activities. Student Store

Students can purchase Squire t-shirts and sweatshirts at the student store in the Commons. The store is not staffed during the day but parents and students can stop by the main office and ask for Ms. Hamre and she will provide assistance.
