Mountain View Middle School
Spring Conference Schedule
Dear parents and families:

Attending your child's parent conference is a crucial part of being an engaged and supportive parent in your child's education. Here are some key reasons why it's important:

  • Strengthens the Parent-Teacher Relationship: Parent conferences provide an opportunity to build a strong connection with the teacher. This relationship can create a collaborative environment where both the teacher and parent work together to support the child's growth and development.
  • Gain Insight into Your Child’s Progress: Parent conferences give parents an in-depth look at how their child is performing academically, socially, and emotionally. Teachers can offer feedback on strengths, areas for improvement, and any concerns they may have. This helps parents stay informed and proactive in addressing any issues early on.
  • Open Communication: Attending parent conferences fosters open communication between home and school. It gives parents the chance to ask questions, share any relevant information about their child, and work with the teacher to find the best ways to support the child's learning at home.
  • Understand the School’s Expectations: Parent conferences help parents understand the school's curriculum, standards, and expectations. It ensures that everyone is on the same page about what is being taught and how progress is measured, allowing parents to better support their child’s learning journey.
  • Support Your Child’s Emotional Well-being: In addition to academics, teachers can also offer valuable insights into your child’s emotional development and social interactions. This is a great opportunity to discuss any concerns and find ways to help your child thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Set Goals and Make a Plan for Success: Parent-teacher conferences are an excellent time to set specific goals for your child’s academic success and development. Working together, parents and teachers can create a plan for how to achieve these goals, ensuring that your child gets the best possible support.
In short, attending parent conferences shows your child that you care about their education and are willing to partner with their teachers to create the best possible learning experience. It also demonstrates to the teacher that you are invested in your child's success, which can positively impact their motivation and classroom behavior.

Good morning Mountain View Families,

We'd like to send a friendly reminder about our upcoming Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences next week, scheduled for Wednesday through Friday. Please reference our original post on conferences.

Additionally, please note that tomorrow, Friday, March 28th is a non-student day, allowing teachers time to finalize grades in preparation for the Parent-Teacher Conferences.

On Monday, March 31st, your student will bring home a YELLOW paper that includes their current grade report and any missing assignments. This will help you identify which teachers to meet with during the conferences.

Thank you for partnering with us in the academic success of your student!
